I’ve been playing an online poker game on my Android a lot lately, but some of the hands that I get seem unrealistic, such as getting doubles twice in a row of the same card.

The game is “live holdem poker pro” by Dragonplay.

Besides t.v. poker stars, does anyone know of a person (friend, family, etc.) who has claimed to make a consistent living playing online or table poker?

Thanks. I’m hoping to “get realistic” and quit my dream of grinding out a living playing poker online.

Via like Pokerstars or something so I can play for real money. I know I can play with fake chips but I’m talking about being able to play with real money. Please be detailed in your answer. Thank you very much.

  • Daniel:

I read somewhere that only about 2% of poker players actually make a living doing that.

Now I’m wondering why there are sooo many losers and very few winners in poker.

Now if it was any other game where the casino wins most of the time that would make sense but in poker when some players win someone has to win. So does this mean there are many many losers and very few people making lots and lots of money?

Hello. I was wondering if you could play online poker without using a credit card. something similar to a card where you just pay at the store and input the code on the card into the website. Answer if you got info. Thanks!

  • Death Knight:

I’m a decent Poker player but I want to be a great Poker player. There are a few companies offering a course in Poker and Prices range from $1500 – $3000. My buddy thinks it’s worth it. I think you can find just as much info on Poker training sites like cardrunners.com.

Any opinions that anybody can share with me would be great. Thx.

  • Jon P:

Does it make sense?? Or should I stick to UK sterling sites only..

  • Alina Elliott:

I read a lot of comments from people who claimed to do just that. I tried to do it but I was not disciplined and good enough. Negative swings made me go on tilt.

So is it possible if you study seriously and hard enough to become good, and also if you keep your emotions in check?

Also, are there still enough fish out there to make this possible. Since a lot of suckers have wised up, I begin to think that poker has become more a challenging hobby rather than an easy money making pursuit, like it used to be a couple of years ago.

    Hi All,

I have a saved a few pounds and I want to spend a year or so in isolation to play online poker.

I am looking for a EU country that is extreamly cheap to live (i.e. Renting, food etc…).

Ideally the country would be English speaking.

    Any suggestions.

    Thanks

    Gary
