You must use exactly two cards from your hand (with 3 from the board), BUT you can use a different 2 for your High than you use for your Low.

In your example, you are correct. You would win the High and you would SPLIT the Low, yielding you 75% of the entire pot.

In Omaha hi/low you use 2 cards from your hand and 3 from the board to make the 5 best possible hand

However unlike normal poker games hi/low consists of 2 variants, Hi and Low. Each hand is taken separately.

So yes, you can have both hi and low, as the hi and low are looked at as separate hands using the same cards.

in your example you would win the half of the pot for your high hand

plus split the half of the other half of the pot with your opponent for taking a tie with the low hand

so you would come better off with a 2/3′s of the pot

it has to be 2 of the 4 cards in your hand and 3 of the 5 from the community cards
